Bolstered by a record entry for the RORC Transatlantic Race, a strong Racing Division for the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers, and determined competitors from all over the Caribbean, the 10th edition of the highly acclaimed 600-mile offshore race is set to be a real cracker, with a record entry anticipated.
This 9th edition of the biggest race in the Mediterranean, counts towards the Mediterranean Offshore Championship of 2018 and is open to IRC sailing boat with crews (900 milles), duo (600 milles) or solo (400 milles).
That first edition established the foundations of a regatta, which is characterised by the desire to open, grow and demonstrate the wide range of possibilities that sailing has to offer, and within the same competition includes different ways to feel and experience the sport. This same objective is still the driving force behind PalmaVela 12 years later.

Out of the almost 50 boats from eight different countries that will gather in the waters of Barcelona to compete in the 44th Conde de Godó Sailing Trophy, one of them stands out in its own right. It accumulates up to seven championship titles in the prestigious regatta of the Real Club Náutico of Barcelona, and he last four consecutively.
