Description
Le Figaro is a hymn to the excellence of offshore racing. A one-design sailboat initially conceived for the eponymous Solitaire that made the greatest sailors happy, and that allows you to face each other on the water with equal weapons. On board a Figaro, it is the sailor who makes the difference. Launched for the Solitaire du Figaro 1990 by BENETEAU associated with Jean Berret and the Finot Group, the innovative Figaro Bénéteau 1 led a whole generation of sailors: Yves Parlier, Michel Desjoyeaux, Jean Le Cam, Philippe Poupon, Franck Cammas, Kito de Pavant… The first boat with standard ballasts, the Figaro was designed from the beginning for offshore regattas, and her performance sets spirits whatever the sea conditions. With her polyester hull, her fixed keel and her 9m14, she invites regatta lovers and responds with verve to all the challenges from 1,500 to 2,000 miles of the Solitaire course.
