Ideal cruiser and racer boat for travelling all over the world
Description
This is a 47-foot racer-cruiser designed in Italy and built in 2011.
Of the SLY 47, only 10 units were built, the AVIS being the last of them.
The prototype, named ROCKET ONE, was very famous in Italy because she won many regattas.
This Sly 47 is the last one built (the 10th) and in addition a full carbon reinforcement was made to support the keel at a significant economic cost. No other unit has that bulbous design with 3000 kilos of lead and bullet shape. for this reason and much more this Sly has a great value.
It has excellent performance due to its full carbon rig, sail plan design and daggerboard and bulb structure.
For regattas it has an excellent performance in windward and outstanding in downwinds.
For cruise passengers, both for Mediterranean and ocean crossings, note that in 2014 it made its only ocean route, from the Canary Islands to Saint Lucia in 2014, coming in 5th position.
For this, it was equipped with a water purification system, and also the structure of the boat was totally reinforced with new carbon beams and additional keel support reinforcement, designed by an engineering UK Specialist Marine (we have the detailed plans of all the work they carried out).
The structural reinforcements, the numerous technical characteristics and the habitability (with 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and all the available space in the bow and on both sides of the stern) make it an ideal boat not only for coastal or Mediterranean navigation, but also for travelling all over the world.

Sails
In 2018, a set of sails was designed as they were used only during 2018 and 2019 (in 2021 and 2022 in just 4-5 regattas). They were designed by Juan Garay, Copa América designer, and cut by Alfredo Roberi, Copa América sailmaker and current TP52 sailboat in the new Alpha+ team, having been in past campaigns for Bronenosec, Trifork or RC44.
It consists of:
- 2 x Northsails 3Di Jib (55.66 m2), manufactured by Alfredo Roberi. One for light winds (up to 16 knots) and the other for stronger winds (16-20+ knots).
- 1 Northsails 3Di mainsail (68.77 m2), manufactured by Alfredo Roberi.
- 2 x Gennaker (210 m2), designed by Juan Garay and manufactured by Alfredo Roberi. Includes an A1.5 and an A2. It would admit tighter designs for "windward-leeward" regattas that would facilitate a better rating, but it is a real joy to sail it with gennakers of those dimensions.
- An A1.5 and an A2 of 210 m2
