Design notes
Hull and deck were built with vacuumtechniques. Using epoxy resins, glues and fillers. Laminates are built up in a matrix of Twaron (kevlar) between e-glass woven rovings for both hull and deck (all over !) The slamming area & bow have multiple Twaron layers. Laminates over stringers and keelfloors are built up in e-glass diagonals and 4000gr carbon unidirectionals. The aft keelfloor is extra strong to prevent hull damage in case of grounding. Core material for stringers and floors is wood. The hull and deck have a 20mm Divinycell H80 foamcore. As have most of the bulkheads. This construction is stiff, tough, light and durable. Top quality ! The rudder is a carbon/kevlar blade on a full carbon stock. Self-aligning bearings by JP3.
