Additional Comments:
She just competed in and won the Caribbean 1500 Performance Class, and is Owned currently by a very experienced offshore cruiser. Much of this owner’s earlier sailing was in cutting edge offshore racing boats. He chose this boat after sailing on many hundreds of others, because he could recognize that she is fast, easy on her crew, and fun to sail offshore. The boat has served its purpose, and the owner now wishes to move into an even higher performance model. If you are looking for a good boat to sail offshore, shorthanded, there is probably no better choice than this! She is ready to go anywhere. It is already fully equipped for trans ocean racing or cruising.
A great IRC rating of 1.146 makes this an ideal choice for all the events sailed in the Northern Atlantic as well. With the power of the Caribbean Trades in her sails, this boat will be a knockout on the race course! (Her PHRF rating is advantageous too.)
The Pacer 42 has a 3 cabin layout. The main saloon features 2 curved settee berths with shelving behind and a folding saloon table. The forward cabin has double berth and a built-in locker. This Pacer 42 hull features Epoxy Composite construction with a Gelcoat finish. The Deck is an epoxy composite construction with a painted finish. This is the only all epoxy Pacer 42 and is lighter than the sisters by nearly 2000 pounds. The T-bulb keel at 8’9†weighs 2400 kg making it wonderfully stiff. The STIX is 50. (32 is required for the OSTAR). No runners, no overlapping headsails, and no hydraulics. It doesn’t get any simpler or easier than that.
