    Design notes
She is a fully interior Racer-Cruiser, (not a cruiser racer), built in 2006 - launched in 2007 and built on a positive plug, using 100% cored with Divinycell core construction on the hull and deck/cabin, as well as I the interior. She was built for ISAF 2 rules and Offshore racing. She is 100% teak deck. Being a prototype, the boat has been subjected to many major changes to the upper deck, hull and stern to adapt her to ORC/IRC rating changes as the rating rules changed. Unlike production boats, prototypes can be modified easily, and without need for re-certification. She is a 100% custom made gentleman racer with 3 full size wood cabins, 2 separate heads with electric heads and showers, full kitchen, large salon and lots of storage. All the furniture can be removed for racing and another set of 2 beds for offshore racing installed in the salon table. Sleeps 8 comfortably. The keel is a high efficiency torpedo lead encapsulated keel, built on a SS frame and is attached to the hull via a custom dedicated H shaped frame. Keel loads and supports is not transferred to the hull skin, but rather to the internal boat frame. The boat is built with 2 longitudinal beams providing it with extraordinaire stiffness and seaworthy durability. The mast is keel stepped installed in the forward head, to allow water drainage with ease. This boat is an offshore racer by heart and a very competitive upwind/downwind racer as well, having reached downwind speeds in excess of 22kts TBS. She is equipped with an Aluminum Sparcraft Performance Series mast (for the rating) but is equipped with a full 100% carbon fiber boom, Carbon fiber spinnaker pole and Carbon fiber removable bow sprit. All ropes and lines are Kevlar and Dyneema. Back stay is Dyneema and on a custom rolling drum for rapid and light backstay tension changes. A unique system. She was built for IMS/ORC racing with class and commodity. The design is a one off and she is built for long and short offshore races, with full capability of running to its rating in IRC and ORC. Giulietta is a famous boat, with several titles in its belt, has raced the Rolex Middle Sea race Rolex Giraglia twice and won the Giraglia in 2017
