The boat is light and very fast in any direction with little wind and extremely fast downwind in strong winds as reflected in its 2018 rating. Among its achievements is having won the Giraglia in the regatta division in 1997 and in 2004. In addition to many local regattas now with its new configuration. She sails in real time ahead of Grand Soleil 40, First 40.7 or XP38 and is not comparable to a modern ¾ IOR or contemporary boats of the same length.

Design notes
The Jump 33 Racer is a boat designed under IMS regulations with a hull with clean lines, no launches and a generous draft of more than two meters and ten centimeters, similar to Farr's designs, the Mumm 30 or 36. 3 were made units in Italy and the project was rejected because the boat was more expensive to build than a 40-foot Beneteau due to the materials used. With an open cockpit but with a cabin that allows a person of 1.85 cm to stand upright, we are looking at a racing boat with cruising capacity thanks to its two independent double cabins and its closed bathroom, as well as a spacious and bright dinette. She has a large stowage box in the stern to carry a dinghi for example. Also unlike other racing boats, she is equipped with an 18 horsepower Yanmar engine that allows her to motor sail at more than 6 knots.

Spars and rigging notes
The rig was changed in 2015, installing a Sparcraft double-decker carbon mast with set back spreaders and slightly fractionated that rests on the keel and the shrouds on the gunwale. The rigging is made of rod and retains the original lightened aluminum boom.
The stick weighs 70 kg less than the original, lowering its center of gravity. Burdas were eliminated and maneuvering speed was gained with a jib in the bow, easy to turn, and a 5-meter larger mainsail.
The cockpit maneuver has been redesigned, improving clearance and allowing easier and more accessible navigation, even with a reduced crew.
The 6 winches are self-chasing and oversized Harken winches and the main and its outhaul are easily controlled from the tiller, as well as the jib trim.
The modern rig is derived from that of a Beneteau Figaro 2, the same measurements making it easy to find used sails in France.
The saddle as well as the back are made of dyneema.
The boat has a genoa furler with endless line and lazy Jack and lazybag to facilitate solo sailing. She comes equipped with a light carbon pole for symmetrical and a retractable bowsprit from the cockpit for asymmetrical spinnaker.
