    The Gloria of Grenada is a G.R.P. built, 71 feet ketch, type Ocean 71. Throughout the seventies about 25 of these Oceans were built and in 1972 it was still the biggest G.R.P. boat ever built (solid 47 tons).

    The yard that built the Gloria was in the South of England, Southern Ocean Shipyard. The design is from Van De Stadt. One Ocean 71 is known to have won Capetown-Rio and Round Britain in the seventies. Two blue dolphins on the bow are the Ocean 71's trademark. The only other Ocean 71 in the North of Europe sails from Oslo.
